Kashi Vishwanath Temple

Kashi Vishwanath Temple is most famous Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and is located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India, the holiest existing place of Hindus. Timing of poojas are:

Sarnath, The Buddhist Place

Banaras Hindu University

Banaras Hindu University is a public central university located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Established in 1916 by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, BHU is one of the largest residential universities in Asia, with over 20,000 students.

Ganga Arti at Dashaswamedh Ghat

The Varanasi Ganga Aarti takes place every sunset at holy Dasaswamedh Ghat, near Kashi Vishwanath Temple. It differs from the aartis at Haridwar and Rishikesh in that it’s a highly choreographed ceremony..Gange aarti takes place at 6.45 PM in the evening after the sunset for around 45 minutes at the Dashashwamedh ghat in the Varanasi. Devotees have started to come to see the Gange aarti at least one hour before.

Bharat Mata Temple

Bharat Mata Temple is one of the most renowned Varanasi attractions. It was built in the year 1936 by Babu Shiv Prasad Gupt, a Gandhian admirer. It is located within the campus of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth. The holy place is devoted to Mother India.

Sankat Mochan Temple

In the temple, offerings to Lord Hanuman (called Prasad) are sold like the special sweet “besan ke ladoo”. This temple has the unique distinction of having Lord Hanuman facing his Lord, Rama, whom he worshiped with steadfast and selfless devotion.

Tulsi Manas Temple

Tulsi Manas Mandir, Next to the Durga temple is this modern marble sikhara-style temple. Built in 1964, the walls of the temple are engraved with verses and scenes from the Ram Charit Manas, the Hindi version of the Ramayana. Its medieval author, Tulsi Das, lived here while writing it and died in 1623.

Durga Temple

The temple has a rectangular tank of water called the Durga Kund (“Kund” meaning a pond or pool.) The temple has multi-tiered spires and is stained red with ochre, representing the red colour of Durga. The Kund was initially connected directly to the river thus the water was automatically replenished.

Birla Temple

Birla Temple is located in the BHU campus in Varanasi. There are nine temples in the BHU campus of Shiva Lingam, Nataraj ji, Mata Parvati ji, Ganesh ji, Panchmukhi Mahadev, Hanuman ji, Mata Saraswati ji, and Nandi ji. The tower of the temple is known as the tallest temple tower. Even it is tallest to the Qutub Minar in the New Delhi.

Opening time of the Temple : 4 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 9 pm. Aarti time Aarti timings are 4 am, 4.45 am, 10.30 am, 11.45 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, 6.45 pm, 7.30 pm, 8 pm and 8.45 pm.
